Here is a gift that I created for you: Paper necklaces laminated with plastic. You can find the instructions below. These would make fun gifts, but you can also make them with your students as an art class project. I’m thinking that these would also be nice to sell at any school fundraising event. Feel free to do anything you want with them.
Original images and patterns by yours truly ↓
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the patterns.
2. Print them out.
You can use regular office paper (8.5″ x 11″). You will need a single sheet.
3. Laminate the patterns.
Sandwich the printed sheet of paper between 2 sheets of laminating plastic and pass it through the machine at high temperature.

4. Cut out the shapes.
Do this using sharp scissors.
Connect the parts.
5. Connect the parts with the cord of your choice. I used twine. I also used little metal grommets to finish the holes, but that’s optional. I opened the wholes using a hole punch like this one:
I hope that you enjoy this project. If you don’t have a laminator, just take your patterns to a printing center that offers laminating services.
Have fun!
Elsita 🙂
thank you! I’m going to use them to practice my paper cutting skills too! ;o)
Great, Rebecca! 🙂
