I have to agree, I love the style of your papercutting AND your photography. One of the things I love about paper cutting is the way it plays with light and shadow. One of the things I love trying to capture with photography is the magical dance of light and shadow.
What weight paper did you use to make this?
I have been making stencils recently and it occurred to me when doing some out of paper that I would probably enjoy paper cutting as well so I have been researching techniques and am planning to get a better xacto blade (mine dulled from cutting through plastic stencils and now tears paper) Still, I can hardly weight to get my self healing mat and a new xacto and get to work. Do you have any suggestions on which type of paper is best to start with? I have seen conflicting advice, but it seems to me that unless one is folding the paper and cutting with scissors, a thicker paper like 100lb might be good.
Clever and beautiful, like somthing out of a fairy tale. You have created a world and a story!
A short story from me: when my son had appendicitis several years ago and I sat waiting and waiting at the hospital, I found some small nail scissors and a piece of paper in my handbag. I folded the paper and cut out a little chain of birds first, then (for prayer)a smaller chain of angels with wings touching, then some little dogs, and several smaller chains of birds. I have experimented with paper cutting since then and have some idea of how much work and technique goes into your beautiful works of art, not to mention talent.
I need every last couple of 8484.pink2.net generally have purchased. I like all these with the exception I am able to not ever purchase them about legs with out them having to take 10-20 minutes to receive it in.
