I can’t wait to create new paper pieces in 2011!
All of my visions are coming out in tree dimensions so far, just like the piece above.
I made that hand with the idea of capturing light in a mysterious way.
Light and paper can’t be separated in this kind of work, they need each other.
I love the simplicity of the resources here, just white paper and light.
The final effect looks sophisticated but it’s just a visual trick.
Think about water and light, nothing is more beautiful than the marriage between two
simple but powerful elements.
My love for paper doesn’t end, it just grows bigger and bigger…
Pure Genius!
Thank you for sharing, always.
i love the way you find the simple analogy of water and light to highlight your amazing new piece. it reminds me of your magical hands.
Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for the input, Rick! I’m excited about the fence area it rceeives enough sun during the non-winter months, and is also out of view from pretty much anyone who might object. I’ve seen some vertical strawberry towers and thought similarly though I’d likely need to keep the tops below the top of the fence not sure what the homeowner’s association would say if PVC pipes were sticking up, viewable from a main road. I’ve also got another area that could do well with the channels, but would need another small AP setup over there. Nat’s second AP setup, perhaps??? We’ll see how this goes, and then start planning the second.
Any stock that is measured in point or pt. is used to aidncite the thickness of the paper. Each point is equivalent to .001 inch, therefore 8 pt cover is the same as .008 inch thickness and 10 pt as .010 thickness, etc. Although it is not absolute, there is an approximate method to convert paper measured in pt’s to lb’s, however paper density may and will vary. Here are some examples of approximate pts. converted to cover weights:8 pt equals 66 lb cover10 pt equals 80 lb cover12 pt equals 92 lb coverCoatings and finishes used in the manufacturing processes of paper will change the density of the paper. For example single side coated vs double side coated paper although the same grams will have different densities. a0A great example is our . This card stock is a 130lb card stock however the unique manufacturing processes used to create its soft and subtle finish will make this a less dense sheet than many lighter weight card stocks on the market.
Good prtucie!Hair. Ha, ha. Your hair in that prtucie looks pretty darn good to me. I have that curly, curly hair that will never look kempt. Seriously. I wake up looking like sideshow bob (simpsons show) And that’s no joke.LA. Hmmm. I don’t have anything nice to say about that. No offense to LA girls, but I’m an East Coast, cold loving, prefer the mountains wilderness girl. Unfortunetly I only have the East Coast thing going for me right now with 3 months of cold.
Posted on what about cutting the hnleads off at the natural joint just below the heads, and then replacing them with spindles or plain wood that you have jigsawed and sanded into the right shape? you could use pegs and glue to hold the heads securely to the new hnleads, and once it’s all painted to the same color, whose to know they weren’t always that way?
