Today I’m hosting an exciting giveaway. It is for two luxurious books beautifully illustrated by my fellow paper cutter Kevin Stanton. (Sterling Signature). We’re talking about Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth. He did such a fine job. Each book contains laser-cut designs of Kevin’s work plus printed illustrations. I already have my copies, I’m in love with them!

Such beautiful and original editions of classic Shakespeare. The papercut detail is stunning. As it happens, my 16-year-old daughter has just started studying Macbeth at school, a mere 30 years after I did 🙂

These are just awesome and beautiful. I’ve read both these two books by Shakespeare before and the artwork reflect the spirit of the stories. Very original and creative work.

Elsa, these are amazing! Kevins illustrations are not only beautiful, but his choice of colour palette is gorgeous. They are such bold colours that complement each other so well, but also allow the simplicity of line as well as the strong contrast of layering and depth to the images. Just stunning! It is amazing how each of us can take a piece of paper and create

Macbeth. Oh, Macbeth. I have seen the play in Stratford, in Melbourne, outdoors in the You Yangs (near Geelong in Victoria).
It is what I believe is Shakespeare’s best and these books do it more than justice.
